Here's a picture of the guy who tried to pick anand's pocket at the market just outside out Florence apt. I tried to find a police officer but Anand logically pointed out that we had no proof. What saved the day was anand's murse (man purse). He just bought it the day before at the Scuola Di cuoio (leather school).
Btw, want to point out this is not a big deal. We've almost been victims of petty theft twice, once in Italy and once in france in our total of 100+ days in these countries. But it hasn't happened yet. Also want to point out that the would-be thief is also wearing a murse.
